Reiki Level III- Prerequisite Reiki II
Have you ever felt like you are a great practitioner (you can give a good treatment) but you can't explain what Reiki is? Do you find yourself stumbling over Reiki making Reiki accessible to people? Do you wish you could find the words that don't minimalize the practice, but don't make it sound crazy either? Do you wonder if there are special skills you need to make a transition from treating friends and family to treating the general public? You've come to the right place.
Level 3 adds worlds of focus, clarity, comfort and confidence to one's practice. At this point in training it is necessary not to provide new Reiki tools, but rather to go within and fully integrate the tools we already have. Students spend time exploring both their personal relationship with Reiki and their development as a practitioner. Anyone interested in deeping their practice, actively volunteering in the community, or becoming a Reiki professional is encouraged to take this class.
Personal Development
Student's are supported to identify key areas of growth, using Reiki practice to help clarify and shift daily actions/reactions, and establish a firm ground with which to treat others. Students engage actively in their own healing process, returning again and again to their own inner balance and wellness, so they can maintain a healthy, safe space for the clients they serve.
Practitioner Development
A Reiki class would not be complete without more experience and guidance treating clients! Students are supported in all aspects of client interactions - from the initial contact to before, during, and after sessions. The course touches on everything from practice development to role playing, intuitive development, ethical behavior, standards and scope of practice, setting up treatment plans, creating optimal environments for sessions, screening clients, and working with diverse populations in physical and mental health. It also instructs practitioners in how to identify when a client is not a good fit for them.
This nearly 6 month training includes:
- Targeted, Focused Personal Growth using Reiki and other tools
- Practice Start-Up/Development Assistance
- Practitioner development
- Role playing
- One-on-One Mentoring
- Requirements- Weekly homework and clinical hours outside of class*
*Students are required to treat themselves, others, and receive treatments from others outside of class. Students also have the option (and great privilege!) of completing part of their clinical practice at the Abramson Cancer Center/Penn Medicine, offering Reiki sessions to cancer patients while they receive their conventional treatments.
