Why are we Unique?

The Reiki School and Clinic was founded by educators. Our training is amongst the most extensive and comprehensive in the country.

Kim, our school's director, has a Master's degree in education and is a former elementary and preschool teacher. George, our school's other founder, taught, directed and created curriculum for preschool for nearly 20 years before he passed away. When we started the School over ten years ago, we decided to take a fresh look at Reiki education and create classes in line with how people learn. We used our extensive classroom experience to simplify and organize the teaching language and technique. We combined our passion for Reiki practice and our expertise in teaching to help us create a program that will help you integrate Reiki easily into your life.

We can explain reiki in a tangible, reasonable way that makes sense.

It is our goal to make Reiki practice accessible to pedestrians. We can present Reiki in a way that is legitimate and approachable. Reiki practice is spiritual, and simple. We believe that it should be explained simply, without too many bells, whistles, and whimsy language.

We are a team of professionals.

Reiki was founded as a lay practice, meaning most practitioners are certified to perform the practice on family or friends, but they do not necessarily have clinical or professional skills. Our team, however, does - we work with therapists and other specialists to ensure our staff has the training to work with clients with a variety of medical, emotional and social needs. Our school provides a safe, appropriate and professional atmosphere for the general public, including diverse populations in both conventional healthcare and mental health.

We are friendly!

We maintain our professional standards without sacrificing warmth and welcome.

We create curriculum and clinical protocols in integrative care.

We have created thriving programs in hospitals, non-profits and community organizations.

From implementing and running a Reiki volunteer program at the Abramson Cancer Center at PENN, to helping shelter animals at the SPCA, to coordinating a yearly wellness camp for children infected or affected with HIV/Aids, our team is known for it's professionalism and innovation.  We understand how to look deeply at an individual or community's need, and provide supportive services that complement other types of care.
