New To Reiki?

If you are new to the practice of Reiki, sometimes it's challenging to know where to begin! Here are some clues to help get you started, as well as basic Reiki terminology you'll want to understand.

Reiki Session

  • If you want to experience a Reiki treatment, you'll become a client. We have lots of information on our Client Sessions and Services page. Our professional and student practitioners love to give treatments! We also offer Reiki in combination with massage.

  • If you'd like to learn to give yourself/others Reiki treatments, you'll want to receive some Reiki training. You'll become a student and take a Reiki class.

Basic Reiki School + Clinic Terminology:

Client: The name we use to refer to the people to whom we give treatments.

Level of Training - Reiki training is split into different levels. Typically the system has Reiki Level 1, 2, 3 (also known as Master Practitioner, RMP), and 4 (also known as Master Teacher, RMT). If you are a beginner, you'll start with Reiki Level 1. There are no prerequisites, and anyone can learn to practice, regardless of age, experience or background in bodywork or Reiki.

Practitioner: The term for the person who practices Reiki. All of our professional practitioners are also Reiki Master Teachers (RMT) who have completed all the levels of Reiki training.

Master Student Practitioner: A practitioner who is still a student. These practitioners offer discounted sesssions as part of their clinical requirements for certification.

Reiki Treatment (also known as 'session'): What you receive if you want to experience Reiki.

Massage/Reiki Combo- Some of our professional practitioners are also certified massage therapists. These practitioners offer Reiki in combination with massage for $80.
