Teaching Philosophy

The Reiki School teaching philosophy is based on the following principles of education:

  1. Practice: In order to learn we need to do, and do again. In fact, the best questions and answers come from hands-on experience with the subject matter.
  2. Patience/Process: Learning takes time, Rome wasn't built in a day. It's easy to integrate any new tool if the information isn't thrown at us all at once, without time to digest it, process it, ask questions, and practice.
  3. People: We learn from each other. Our peers ask the questions that are on our minds, show us examples, listen to us, and provide mirrors for our growth. Our teachers give us ongoing support, direction, and guidance. With our teachers and peers we create an understanding community of learners-- especially when we may be learning something that others in our lives may not accept or understand.

We are committed to quality education.

It is our goal:

  • To provide a thorough, hands-on education with a focus on practice.
  • To provide students with an understanding of, as well as practical applications for Reiki.
  • To provide students with an understanding of the history, origins, and development of Reiki.
  • To offer students an ethical model of professional practice.
  • To increase public awareness of the benefit of holistic healing.

We Live What We Give.

The Reiki School and Clinic's teachers do Reiki every day. As practitioners committed to living in a Reiki way, we are constantly growing, changing, and learning alongside of our students. In order to provide the highest quality of education possible, we constantly edit and re-evaluate our curriculum to best facilitate student learning. In Business, they call this 'Quality Control'. At the Reiki School, we call this Integrity.
